(96 inches)- 300 lb. clear monofilament section with clear anti-chafe loop protectors - 2.0 mm x 18 mm aluminum double oval crimps on mono section - 225 lb. brass/stainless steel snap swivel on mono section for surf weight attachment (weight not included) - 12 red beads on mono section; the number of beads is useful when landing sharks close to shore; you can grab the leader by the beads to prevent breaking your mainline and cutting your hands on crimp edges - 350 lb. brass barrel swivels connect the wire and mono sections; the mono section ends with another terminal swivel (also 350 lb. test) that you can tie directly to your mainline or use a snap swivel connection These shark fishing leaders are handmade, 10 feet long, and built to deploy with a kayak, jetski, or perhaps a drone. They are bottom rigs built for passive fishing. They are also known as sliding rigs, which allow a feeding shark to swim with your bait a short distance before feeling the resistance from the surf weight. Just add a surf weight of your choice to compliment fishing/beach conditions. The build of these leaders can potentially help you land sharks less than 10 ft in length, including blacktip, spinner, bull, and lemon sharks. Either cut or live bait will work great with these rigs. These are tied using leader material that I trust and have used myself for years. I have been making my own fishing leaders since 2007 and have never experienced a broken leader or failed crimp connection.I use a Jenkai crimping tool for copper sleeves and an iCrimp crimping tool for aluminum sleeves. Each leader is coiled and packaged individually into 9X9 inch bags before being padded and shipped in a 10X10X2 inch box. This bottom rig model is legal/compliant for Texas shark fishing.
