Description: Here for sale is a wonderful American 17th to early 18th century hand forged iron fireplace skewer. You can just see the age in this piece!! It is simple on form with a flat faced front and back. Has some nice scalloped edging near the back end, and it ends with a tight twist and curved over handle. It measures 19 1/8 inches long. American in origin, it dates somewhere around the 1680-1740s period. Good condition with and honest patina. Super early !! Buyer pays shipping.
