This stock and forend are compatible with all versions of the classic long recoil–operated Browning Auto-5 shotgun produced before 1999; they are not compatible with the newer Browning A5 introduced in 2014. The stock and forearm have never been fitted to a gun (the removable wooden forearm shaft support is still in place). It's the buyer's responsibility to use an appropriate screwdriver to avoid marring the screw heads when securing the buttplate. On one side of the grip, 2-3 checkering nibs are slightly scuffed (see 3rd from last photo); hardly visible and probably could be darkened with a dab of oil. After taking photos under bright lights (I did not postprocess any posted photos in any way), I was surprised by how reddish the wood looks (to my eye it looks less red and more brown in normal light), so I took 2 more photos in room daylight to give buyers a better feel for the wood's appearance (see last 2 photos); to be honest, even in those photos the wood still looks a bit redder than it looks to my eye.
