Antique 19th Century Primitive Indigo Blue Calico Light Cotton Fabric ~ Rag Doll

Description: An absolutely wonderful find in earlier antique calico cotton. A beautiful lighter weight calico in the best earlier old blue. Didn’t really photo well (overcast today). Prettier in person. I’d say in the cadet range? Very nice pleasing true earlier indigo color. The last couple of photos seem closest. Thinner but not quite a gauze per se. Great weight for hand sewing. A more overall primitive calico having an area of fade as seen which can be extremely charming if you desire an authentic old nuance in your project. I believe in the civil war era where the cotton shortage during that time caused lighter weight, thinner cotton production in textiles. So perfect for primitive rag doll making & an abundance of unique Americana & farmhouse projects. Other than the random fade, it is in good strong order & appears clean though I’ve done nothing to it. ***Measures~ 23” wide by 1 yd long. I have 4 yds total at the time of this listing, only one panel is 2 yds, the others are pre cut at one yard. In looking at these, each appears to have a good majority of color with one area of the fade so there will be a good amount of unfaded fabric to each cut. Many thanks!
