Description: This antique copper/bronze cauldron pot kettle with handle is a true piece of history. antique patinated copper bronze cauldron (or planter) with two decorative bullet riveted handles and a raised rope design encircling the middle (as an interesting element) with the pot widening at the base. There is no maker's mark visible so the manufacturer and specific place of origin is unidentified at present. Specific dating is complicated given similarly designed cauldrons were utilized over a long period of time. However the pot seems likely datable to the early Twentieth Century or possibly earlier - and American or English. There are some stains, scratches and abrasions visible; was used as a planter. it is a rare find for collectors of cauldrons. Has patina/fire scale throughout, Roughly 7 1/2 by 10 inches. A awesome piece for collectors!
