Description: We are pleased to offer this rare silver plate Cherub Figural Epergne Compote which was manufactured by the Wilcox Silver Company in Quadruple Plate which dates it's production prior to 1913, when manufacturers of victorian items discontinued the process of the quadruple plate process. The elegant and aesthetic Epergne Compote features two beautiful Cherub Figural which are highly desirable. The delicate clear glass bowl fits into the top opening.Condition: The Epergne compote is in good antique condition, and it contains the normal antique wear as shown in the photos. The silver plate is shiny but has some minor imperfaction. It does not have any monograms, crack, or repairs. The base has a ding which is difficult to see while the item is displayed. The glass insert is free of chips, cracks or discoloration. It is very beautiful and elegant. We do our best to describe all issues, but please see all the photos and ask any/all questions prior to buying.Approximate measurements: 5 1/2" H and 4" W across the top glass bowl. Sadly, we are liquidating our antique collection, and most items are being sold for at least 50% or less than the original price paid.
