Originally advertised to “pet my back, I magically bark!” & “I magically meow!”, they both come with a sound activated button on their backs making them bark, or meow, when being pet. (A Velcro opening on their bellies allow access to the battery compartment.) Our Puppy Ruff still barks! While our Mitzi Meow is in need of new batteries. These vintage pets of Barbie come to us from the estate of an avid Barbie collector. They were taken out of their original packaging and kept in great condition on display in a case. As stated above, Puppy Ruff still barks, while Mitzi Meow needs new batteries. We cannot guarantee that she will meow once new ones are installed, but we believe she would.
