Description of the object:Pair of vitrified majolicated ceramic vases, entirely hand-made on a lathe, and entirely hand-decorated in blue on a white background, with large knobs in the shape of a Foo Dog. Central decoration depicting a country scene with a lady and landscape, enriched by numerous floral decorations that almost entirely cover the vases. Made by the famous Dutch Delft Blue factory, dating back to the second half of the 19th century. Under the base there is the author's signature, an "A" and an "O" separated by a line with a symbol, all in blue under the glaze.Useful information for the evaluation of the object:We have placed, just below this description, some similar vases of the Blue Delft, from the same period as ours or older, all with decorations in various shades of blue on a white background, and many with a very similar lid, always with a knob in the shape of a Foo Dog, all offered at very high prices, with maximum requests of €11,000. We have also placed a pair of vases identical to ours in shape and size, very similar also in the floral decorations and in the central decoration, different only in the colors, offered at over €1,200 on Pamono and dated to the 18th century, all to give an idea of the value of similar objects. In the last photos, we have also placed some examples of Delft ceramic marks from 1600 to 1800, to show how similar they are to ours, obviously there are many and we could not place them all. We have also included photos taken from a specialized volume on Delft ceramics, where you can see a pair of vases from 1700 with a decoration very similar to our pair, as evidence of the correctness of our attribution.Information on artist and/or manufacture: The term Delft pottery or Delft majolica indicates a famous artisan product from the Netherlands, in particular from the city of Delft. This ceramic has been exported all over the world, its origins date back to the end of the 16th century. Delft artistic pottery, one of the main of its kind in Europe between 1600 and 1800, is usually characterized by blue decorations also known as "Delft blue". In the last photos we have included more in-depth historical information on the manufacture, for those who want to learn more, with some of the numerous brands used, taken from our book in French, "Le manuel de la porcellane européenne". ENTER OUR EBAY SHOP PORCELAINS, CERAMICS, TERRACOTTE, BRONZE, PAINTINGS, FURNITURE, GLASS AND MUCH MORE AS, FOR EXAMPLE: ..OUR COMMERCIAL POLICYAware of operating in the eBay market, our prices are often lower than the real value of the object, as often documented in our descriptions, and also lower than the prices at which very similar objects are offered on other online art sales platforms and antiques. At the same time, eBay reciprocates with the possibility of selling a high quantity of objects, so our commercial policy is to earn little for the single object, but sell a lot and therefore earn on the quantity. In fact, the asking price is always as low as possible, considering how much the item was paid for and the eBay commissions (for the sale, payment and any currency exchange: from a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 21% , according to the country in which the advertisement was made). For each object there may be multiple advertisements in different countries: USA, Italy, France, United Kingdom, etc. Any price differences are due only to changes in the exchange rate of the various currencies between when we made the advertisement and when you see it. REMEMBER TO PUT ME IN THE FOLLOWING SELLERS LISTFor any additional information or clarification we are at your complete disposal, so contact us via message here on eBay. SHIPPING WORLDWIDE - RETURN ALWAYS ACCEPTEDThe cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping cost, and everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost. OUR SHIPMENTS:..Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used...
