La Collection Couturier Parfumeur New Look 1947 was launched in 2010. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. New Look 1947 features white flowers, mostly tuberose. There are also ylang-ylang, iris, Damask rose, Sambac jasmine, peony, vanilla and benzoin in the composition. The best perfume storage is completely dark, cool and low humidity. We have had this exact perfume storage; going back to 2015! It is not good for them to be in a retail store environment with fluorescent light! Even sealed in their original boxes, even if the boxes are black most stores DO NOT store their perfume properly. At all. They just hope to sell it within a year. All the pictures are ours and you will receive exactly what you see, though not the one we pictured! Meaning, we have stock of these and we don't take a new picture each time one sells. Natural ingredients were used much more back in the day. The main point is the older the perfume, the less it may smell like what you may remember. This is NOT a defect of the item we are selling. There is NO, I repeat NO possible way for a bottle that has been stored years and years to smell exactly the same as it did years ago. Due to ingredients. Nature. Physics. Organic things and life. The ONLY way for it to smell exactly the same as you remember is to go back in time.Please remember that perfumes ALSO, OFTEN; and often more than ONCE, go through reformulations or changes in ingredients. This can be due to rising perfume ingredient costs, regulations (such as IFRA) on allergens or chemical toxicities, company buyouts, corporate greed, and may not smell the same as what you remember. These reformulations are never disclosed to the public. However, many perfume collectors in forums, online groups etc talk about batch variation and reformulations if you search the perfume name with either of those after it.
