Description: Very rare issue of Picture Post magazine, published weekly in Britain back in 1947. This magazine has a rare and early post-WWII Paris Fashion cover feature. Models wear the revolutionary New Look designs, which were only recently created by Christian Dior. Cover and 3 pages of fashion, several images. Printed features on CD's first collections are nigh impossible to find. Rare photos of Alfred Hitchcock on set, one with Gregory Peck filming The Paradine Case. New York Manhattan skyline is used to illustrate an article on funding Europe post-WW2. Oliver Stanley MP crisis Windrush River in Britain. NHS Nursing. St Wenn V Bretons. Post war photojournalism. Love the vintage VOGUE colour Cadbury's chocolate ad! (Full disclosure we have one of these in our office.. the chocolates are loooong gone!) Oversized magazine measuring approx 13x10". An amazingly rare artefact. These early issues of Picture Post are extremely difficult to find - there's only a finite amount of these old magazines left in the world!Excellent condition. The staples are missing but this is subtle. Complete. This magazine from the 1940's and is still remarkably scarce.Scarce collector's item - posted with full insurance & online tracking. Mailed with an archival sleeve and a board and/or bubblewrap envelope. Many more rare fashion magazines in our shop...We are happy to combine post. 240506_5393 1395
