Roosevelt as Governor of New York to the Superior Hat Company regarding his acquisition of X-ray hats for use at the Warm Springs Institute, a rehabilitation center for post-polio treatment in Georgia founded by Roosevelt: "The 'Ex-Ray' hat arrived and I am quite delighted with it. It will be perfectly splendid for use in Warm Springs. The green visor will be most useful where the sun is so hot." The letter is one page on State of New York Executive Chamber letterhead with Personal typed at the top, measures 10.5'' by 8.0'', signed on March 24, 1930, and in fine condition with only minor soiling. Correspondence from Roosevelt with content on Warm Springs is extremely rare and highly desirable.
