Description: Lot of 3 antique clothing buttons were probably produced in the 1800s. The buttons are made of black glass -- and each features an embossed design depicting a scene involving people -- one is a samurai warrior, one has what appears to be a hunter with his hound dog, and the other looks like a person holding an umbrella. One of the buttons features iridescent luster highlights applied to the surface, and the other two have recessed scenes with raised outer borders. Two have embedded, brass loop shanks, while the other has a built-in, self shank. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button sizes. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The buttons may have light surface/edge wear -- but there are no cracks, large chips, or other more serious flaws. They are in very nice shape and will display quite well. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York.
