Description: Antique Japanese Hand-Painted SCREENThis beautiful Japanese Screen or Room Divider dates from the 1920s and features fantastic, detailed Hand-Painted Bird images. All images show the artist's Hanko Seal or signature. Each painting has been individually finished in minute detail on paper and then framed by paper borders and mounted on the screen. The screen has been made by wood and finished in detailed paper patterns and borders. The open screen measures 220cm long x 61cm tall, with the two outer panels measuring 38cm wide and the 4 inner panels measuring 36cm wide. The panels have been backed with a decorative paper. Some wear marks to images of Birds which would be expected in an item that is over 100 years old, but the images are still bright and in excellent condition. There are some small tears in the backing paper and on the edges of the screen joins. The overall screen is in good solid condition.
