Description: You are looking at a very rare silver faced Pre-Tag Heuer Pilot 230.006 men's watch. Model 230.006 was produced by Heuer, before they merged and became TAG Heuer. This watch is a true survivor. This is the ultra rare Pilot model. I am a watch collector who owns over 500 Tag Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This is a full size TAG watch with a case size of about 42mm (43mm including the crown because the crown and chrono buttons are recessed below the bezel). The crystal is in fair condition with many small scratches. The back casing is in good condition with typical light wear scratches. The bracelet is stainless steel and in very good condition with light wear scratches. The clasp and surrounding area looks good with desk rash and scratching. The bezel is nice with light wear scratches and all of the numbers still visible. The hands and hour markers look very good. I would rate this true survivor as a solid 7 out of 10 in condition. It is beautiful. A new crystal and a light buffing of the clasp and band would make it look fantastic, but it is not necessary. The watch is all original and will fit up to a large 7.85 inch wrist. The bezel turns in both the clockwise and counter clockwise direction, in a hydrostatic motion, as it should. It has always kept perfect time. This model has a quartz movement that is 100 meters water resistant. It used to retail for $2595. This watch is so rare that they have actually went up in value. It is a great investment. Buy it and wear it for a few years, then get your money out of it. You need to test the seals and have it pressure tested before wearing in water. Keeps perfect time. All of the chronograph hands start and stop as they should, when their corresponding buttons are pushed. The chronograph feature is working currently. It is operating and resetting to zero.
