The postcard (3.25 x 5.5 inches) is framed together with a promotional card of Thurman Munson to complete this handsome display. Munson’s signature is highly desirable and difficult to obtain due to his untimely death in a fatal plane crash in 1979. Munson started his career winning the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 1970. Munson received the first of three consecutive Gold Glove Awards in 1973 and in 1976 he won the American League MVP Award. To honor him, the Yankees have retired Munson's uniform number "15."
