Description: The listing is for a Victorian butter dish, manufactured by the Rockford Silver Company, c1882, Rockford IL. The butter dish is in both the traditional shiny silver plate finish and the acid etched or "Butler Finish" used to replicate years of polishing. Together they create a stunning contrast. It features the acid etched design on the base overlaid with the figural cherubs riding on the backs of rams along with other foliage and vines. There is a band of dragonflies and fish at the base of the cover and a band of flowers around the rim of the base. Condition: The butter dish is in good condition as shown in the pictures. There are no monograms or visible repairs. The insert for holding the butter is not original but fits. Size: It stands 6.5 inches tall and measures 8.75 inches wide. Shipping: We will ship the butter dish by or USPS Advantage. We gladly combine shipping whenever possible. At this time, we are unable to ship to Alaska or Hawaii. Returns: We try to describe our items as accurately as possible. Please ask questions prior to bidding or buying an item, we will gladly answer as soon as we can. Most of our items are antique, which have been aged due to use and are not returnable for issues that we have shown in the pictures or described. Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
