Description: Vintage Book - Mark Twain’s Autobiography, Volume II ONLY, published by Harper & Brothers Publishers, New York and London, 1924, 365 pages, 6 1/2” x 9 1/2”, volume 2 complete to my knowledge. Belonged to John Ireland Howe Downes (1861 - 1933) an CT born artist and Librarian of the Yale School of Fine Arts. This book was found in New Haven. Condition is fair to good - some bumps/chips/rubs on boards, no creases, one tear as shown, some yellowing, some foxing and water stains on inside front and back but can’t really see anything on interior, fairly clean.
