Description: Take a look at this pairing of two Swiss made 1960s vintage Westclox watches. Long before the internet, many quality timepieces were available direct from retailers via mail order. Such as this Westclox All-Sports chronograph and Westclox Official Stop-Watch. The stop watch was a free gift with purchase of the chronograph (see the original 1960s ad in the listing photos). I found both of these handsome watches separately this year and thought it would be a blast from the past to offer them for sale together again. THE ALL-SPORTS CHRONOGRAPH: 39 mm in diameter at the bezel. This all stainless steel mechanical chronograph features an excellent “Panda” dial with two registers: continuous seconds and a 30 minute recorder with yachting countdown scale. Also a blue tachymeter scale. The bidirectional rotating count up time bezel turns smoothly. Powered by a Swiss made 17 jewel Valjoux caliber 7733 movement. It’s running strong and keeps excellent time. In need of a service, the chronograph hand will stall when tripping the minute recorder. Not guaranteed to be waterproof since it was opened for photography and hasn’t been pressure tested. Shows typical signs of wear all around. All original except for a new acrylic crystal. The 19 mm all stainless steel bracelet is an older after market replacement. THE OFFICIAL STOP-WATCH: 60 mm wide x 63 mm. Also features a white dial with a 15 minute recorder and 30 minute black/red 1/10 seconds scale. The chrome plated plastic case is in very lightly used condition. Has three operating buttons; green-start, red-stop and black-reset. It’s all original including the 18” long white/black lanyard.
